Guild Rules

Disregard and Disrespect for rules will lead to expulsion

Standard
All loot on guild runs by the Silken Blades is property of The Silken Blades and will be placed in guild bank when not needed by character on the run.

Any run posted by an SB member is subject to SB run and loot rules. This also includes any runs that are setup/posted by SB members and pugged for remaining spots.

All raids (groups of more then five) will be posted, organized, and lead by an officers. Non-officers are not allowed to post, organize, or lead raids.

When on any run the highest ranking member will be given lead of the run for looting responsibility and ensuring rules are followed. There are no exceptions to this rule for SB runs. The leader of the run in five man groups may pass the lead of the group to another for marking purposes but they are still in charge and responsible for the run. Any runs in which the loot rules or other rules are not followed with the responsibility of run leader (highest ranked).

There will be no discussion of religion or politics in raid or guild chat. In small groups you may talk as you like. Adult language is allowed but within reason (use common sense). There will be no insulting or swearing at any guildie for any reason either in chat or vent. When there is a group in an instance channel on vent, other members may join to listen in but are prohibited from disrupting the run via chatting excessively or injecting un-asked input on the run.

When on a run, the leader of the run will be issuing the orders or the person they designate at the start of the run. Other members will not contradict openly or issue other orders. If a member has a different idea or opinion it can be whispered to the leader. The raid leader will be the one to decide when the run will be called. If you cannot stay on the run any longer or are demoralized you speak directly to the leader. Open ‘can’t do’ and ‘negative’ attitudes on runs will not be tolerated.

Raiding
Premade teams will be set for raiding within Silken Blades. There will be two 10man teams and more if needed. For the 10man, 8 members will be dedicated to this team and run each week at set time/day. The remaining slot will be available for random sign up (some class restrictions may apply). This is done to allow the advancement in end game which requires dedication but also leave some room for our casual players to have a chance to experience end game as well. With out having full premade teams end game content may be experienced slower and with more difficulty, but is necessary to be fair to both raiders and casuals. After all, we are all friends and fun is a goal

Failure to attend, be on time, or attentive during raids may result in removal from team and/or affect rank We will have some leeway but need to try to adhere to these rules in order to keep time well spent.

Raid leader will be the only one issuing orders and tactics on the run. Others are free to give advice but up to leader to decide. Any comments that express frustration or dissatisfaction with the run are to be whispered to leader directly and not open stated to harm party morale. During the actual pulls only the leader will give instructions on the combat ongoing unless they assign another to do it. Many people speaking at once or contradicting statements harm morale and cause much chaos.

Loot dispersal on runs:
Loot is set on FFA (Free for All). This is done to build trust and have a flowing run without loot being a priority and random pop-ups for loot rolls during combat. While it is on FFA one person will be in charge of looting the non-grey items and handing them out during or at the end of the run and making sure unneeded items get deposited into the guild bank. If an item is looted by accident it needs to be passed to the main looter or officer. If we need to remind a member about this often then will not be allowed on the runs. The highest rank on the run will be the looter or can designate another to do so. On 5man the main looter handles both BOE (Bind on Equip) and BOP (Bind on Pickup). On 10 & 25 there will be one person designated for BOE and another for BOP.

Only the main looter will inspect the boss drop loot and link in party/raid chat. This is done to prevent accidents and confusion. During the loot dispersal we ask that chat cease in both vent and typed until the looting is completed. Opinions on who ‘should or deserves’ loot that dropped will be kept to themselves.

BOE can be taken by anyone in party with need first. Reputation drop items will be split at the end among those who need, any not needed items will be sent to guild bank (This includes special mats for crafting or enchants.) Grey items may be taken by any members but greed will not be tolerated.

BOP 5man will be discussed and not distributed until all party members agree. We prohibit rolling in the Silken Blades so members much reach a decision on who is to receive the loot. If a decision cannot be reached, the run leader will decide, there is no exceptions on this. Things to be considered are who will it be a bigger upgrade for, who will use more, and also who has received less on the run. None of these matter more then the other and these are only guidelines. The person in charge of the loot on the run has final say over any loot issues.

BOP 10-25man priority is set by guild ranking (see below for rank order and reason). Higher ranking members have first choice or can pass down to the next rank. This also includes universal items which all can use such as bags, quest items, mounts and so on. In the event two of the same rank want the item they may decide themselves on who shall receive the item or roll if no decision can be reached. (ex: A melee ring drops and a warrior Royal guard, warrior Defender, and rogue Defender all want. The Royal guard will have first choice to claim item, if they pass then the two defenders both have equal chance and can decide who will receive.)

BOP items are limited to 1 per run. Once a player wins and item they are not eligible for any other items unless all remaining players pass and then an item becomes a 'free' item and then all are eligible again and it does not count against 1 item per run.

Rank Loot System:
( Rank order: Empress, Princess, Duchess, Lady, Elite Guard, Royal Guard, Knight, Defender, (Valkyrie , Servant)

The reason for this system is eliminate DKP and use a system that will both reward the players who put large amounts of efforts into the run and also allow the casual players a chance at good items as well. Rank is based on guild involvement, social activity, guild bank use, helpfulness to others, battleground grouping, instance run attendance, and positive attitude. All these will have a factor and not all are required to achieve high rank. Those of rank are well geared and will be able to help complete instance goals and help gear others in the guild. With rank also comes responsibility and those who abuse the rank loot system will be demoted. Passing desired items to lower ranked player in order to have someone receive a big upgrade will be expected at times.
All officers will be required to be on at least one dedicated raid team. All officers will be required to attend a weekly briefing and monthly meeting. All officers are required to try and help others when available. Officers are not required to power level players. Officers are expected to provide moral support and promote team spirit.

Items within Guild and Crafting:
All guild items are free to those who need and no one will be charged or be required to repay for items taken. However, priority will be to those who contribute more in addition to affecting rank.

There will be no charging of any kind via gold or bonus mats for items given or crafted to other guildies. This includes enchants and even epics worth several thousand gold. All items and services have a set value of zero within the guild. Farming mats for items to be crafted is perfectly reasonable and helping farm mats is strongly encouraged.

Dispersal of items obtained while not on runs is to be decided by the player or players in the grp. Preferred option is to send to guild bank to further the mats and supplies which will in turn cause the need for less money since items will be provided to you free. Finding blue or epic items which can be used by another active guild member and selling them will be highly frowned upon but not disallowed. Having gold is a desire we all share but helping each other and promoting the guild will yield much more money and loot due to success on runs by equipping and enchanting each other.

Guild Bank
Bank tabs will be sorted by item type. Tabs will also have access granted based on rank. Those with higher rank will be granted more access.

Each rank will have a limit to how much can be taken out but no deposit limit. All members are expected to put in at a minimum as much as they withdraw in some fashion. This can be in the form of gold, mats, crafted items, or item for DE. Each transaction does not have to be balance (amount in and amount out in a given day/week can vary), but on an overall basis should balance out to be equal or greater depositing over withdrawing. This will allow the bank to grow and have unlimited resources to help the guild progress. This will be monitored on the armory site in which any member can see all transactions, including officers. Anyone found to be abusing the bank will be spoken to first, demoted, and possibly removed if not corrected.

Participation in adding/withdrawing items from guild bank will be optional. If you do not wish to contribute to the guild bank you will not be forced to do so. However guild bank mats will not be provided to you or used to craft items for you. Use of guild bank is also a factor in rank..

Any questions, concerns, or input please feel free to speak directly to me or any of the officers
